Membership

BABA is a voluntary membership organization of individuals who are practicing book artists. BABA is also a student-run Foothill College course that develops and shares book arts resources and skills within the BABA community--we are all students; we are all teachers. BABA has a commitment to provide community activities that invite the Bay Area public to learn more about and share our excitement about the book arts. To do this, we organize book arts exhibitions within the Bay Area and sponsor the annual Book Arts Jam at Foothill College--a public celebration of the book arts. We invite you to join us!

To attend BABA Sunday Sessions, you must be enrolled in GID 94, a year-long 3 unit course at Foothill College. Students may join this class throughout the year. Contact info@bayareabookartists.org for information about how to join the class after the official class registration period is over. The Thursday evening meetings are also an essential part of BABA. We use these meetings to share information and works in progress with each other, plan collaborative book work projects, and organize and prepare for BABA activities in the community.
