Artist's Statement

Books have been the telescope to history for me. Each page reveals a new sense of people, places and the human experience. For me the process of reading or creating a book is similar to adding a color, shape or line to an experience so that the picture or feeling in your mind become richer and more fulfilling with each page. The passing of time, memory and the human experience are frequent subject matter. I also like to make my own paper to communicate another layer of experience through shape, color and texture.
